Department of Hindi

History: - The Department of Hindi was started in 1983. In the beginning Hindi Department obtained recognition only for MIL classes. But the session 2011-12 the Department has owned recognition for B.A. Major and Elective Courses in Hindi from Guahati University. Dr. Pushpa Singh is the founder lecturer of the Department of Hindi. But now a day two (2) assistant Professor are working in the department.

Vision:- The vision of the Department is to provide adequate knowledge to student so that they can be worthy citizens of our country.

Moto:- Teaching a language and literature helps the students to know the society both past and present. Communication skill makes the students and people and their personality. Spreading and developing of the Hindi language and literature is moto of our Department.

Date of Permission:- T.D.C. 1st year session 1997-98, 2nd year session 1998-99, Major & Elective session 2011-12

Date of Govt Concurrence: - 15-05-2000

Infrastructure:- The Hindi Department is functioning from one of the Assam type Building of the college.
